In September, we launched a one-month consumer trial focused on acne-prone skin for teens. Participants used the upgraded UNILIPO Composite Salicylic Acid Oil Control Serum to evaluate its effects on breakouts and skin clarity.

With this study wrapped up, here’s a closer look at the results users experienced after 30 days:

Essential Ingredients:

✅1% UNISOUL® RNAiG – Adopts gene silencing technology to precisely target androgen receptors in sebaceous gland cells, regulating sebum production at the epigenetic level.

✅ 3.2% Supramolecular Salicylic Acid Co-Crystal – Boosts absorption while reducing skin irritation.

✅ 0.5% ACNESIUM® – Reduces sebum secretion, improves abnormal hyperkeratosis, and inhibits inflammation and harmful bacteria.

✅ 2.46% Azelaic Acid – Suppresses inflammation and pathogenic bacteria, and gently accelerates keratin metabolism.

✅ 1% Willow Bark Extract – Enhances anti-inflammatory and oil-controlling effects.

After cleansing your face, apply a proper amount evenly to acne-prone areas every night.

@Bella

A 14-year-old girl with forehead acne for six months:

Her acne improved noticeably within the first week and almost completely cleared by the second week. Even during the National Day holiday, when her routine became irregular and product use was more inconsistent, she experienced very few new breakouts.

@esha

A 12-year-old girl with temple acne for six months:

Salicylic acid helped keep her acne from worsening, reducing the progression of red, inflamed breakouts into more severe flare-ups. Preventing large clusters of acne from forming was already a noticeable improvement.

@*Jun

A 12-year-old girl with persistent forehead acne for six months:

She previously believed her hormonal breakouts were impossible to control, but after one month of consistent use, her menstrual acne flare-ups became much less sever. Red, inflamed pimples gradually subsided, new breakouts became minimized, and older acne areas continued healing over time.

@Aurora

An 18-year-old girl with chin acne for six months

She first noticed reduced oiliness, followed by visibly flatter breakouts over time. The uneven, bumpy texture gradually improved, leaving her skin noticeably smoother. Salicylic acid once again proved to be a reliable ingredient for acne-prone skin.

@WanWan

An 18-year-old girl with forehead acne for six months

Her forehead acne showed visible improvement after the trial.

@Hey Juliet

A 12-year-old boy with forehead and cheek acne for over six months

His skin became less oily over time, and breakouts appeared to heal more quickly.

@manli

A 17-year-old girl with forehead acne for over six months

Redness began subsiding within the first week, and her skin condition continued improving over time, with most pimples gradually fading.

@Lian

A 13-year-old girl with forehead acne for over six months

Salicylic acid helped improve her acne, though teen breakouts can still recur, making consistent use especially important.

@Lan

A 12-year-old boy with forehead acne for over six months

His skin previously felt rough and bumpy due to acne, but it has improved significantly over time. Avoiding picking at pimples would likely help the skin recover even more smoothly.

@GYO

A 12-year-old boy with forehead acne for over six months

He noticed clear improvement in his skin condition during the trial.

@Yan

A 16-year-old girl with full-face acne for over one year

Her acne improved significantly over time, and her overall complexion appeared brighter and clearer.

@Yu

A 15-year-old boy with forehead acne for over one year

His acne visibly improved, along with his overall complexion. After trying multiple cleansers, topical products, and supplements without consistent results, this routine gave him greater confidence in managing his skin. The visible improvement motivated him to follow the routine more consistently and pay closer attention to his diet. Regular progress photos, together with professional guidance and shared experiences from parents in the group, also helped him better understand long-term acne management.

@Hui

A 13-year-old girl with forehead acne for over one year

Her acne improved noticeably, with far fewer pimples than before.

@*Xiao

A 13-year-old girl with forehead acne for over one year

Most of the small clustered breakouts gradually faded, leaving her forehead noticeably smoother and more even-looking.

Study Summary

After one month of continuous use of the UNILIPO Composite Salicylic Acid Oil Control Serum, 47.5% of participants showed significant improvement in acne, with some experiencing near-complete clearing. Improvements were observed in both newer breakouts lasting under six months and more persistent acne present for over one year. No irritation or discomfort was reported among participants aged 8–18.

Overall, the one-month trial demonstrated the formula’s effectiveness in supporting oil control, reducing visible breakouts, and maintaining a comfortable user experience.

Acne Care Q&A

Q: Why do some people seem to break out more after starting salicylic acid?

A: Acne can be a bit like a volcano — everyone has a different amount of underlying congestion beneath the skin. For some users, salicylic acid helps existing breakouts calm down quickly with very few new pimples appearing afterward. For others with more active acne-prone skin, salicylic acid may initially bring underlying clogged pores and hidden breakouts to the surface more quickly, making the skin appear temporarily worse before it gradually improves.

Persistent acne usually requires several months of consistent care and oil-control management. Even if dramatic changes are not visible within the first month, maintaining a steady routine is important for long-term improvement.
